Getting started
How do I start?
Download AuIQ and set up your store on the device that sets the prices. Admin only and Admin + 1 staff come with 7 days free.
How do staff join?
Staff scan your store's QR code with the iPhone Camera, or type its code in Settings → Store. Their phones use your prices from then on.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. There's no Android version.
Do I have to switch from my pawn software?
No. AuIQ doesn't replace your pawn or point-of-sale system. It prices the piece at the counter: live prices, your percents, every karat. Keep using your system for tickets, inventory and the records your state requires.
Is it in Spanish?
Yes. Every screen of AuIQ can switch to Spanish in Settings, and the customer's offer and the price board have their own English and Spanish switch.
Prices
Where do the prices come from?
A licensed market data provider, every 10 minutes while the metals market is open (Sunday 6 PM to Friday 5 PM New York time, except exchange holidays). When the market is closed, AuIQ shows the last price.
How does AuIQ work out my price?
(spot − your deduction) × purity × weight × your percent. You set the deduction and the percents for each metal in Settings → Pricing rules. The pricing guide walks through it.
Can I pay a different percent for some karats?
Yes. Set a different buy or loan percent for any purity, on top of each metal's own percent and deduction.
Which metals and coins?
Gold, silver, platinum, palladium and rhodium, and melt values for 80+ US and world gold and silver coins, with more coming.
Does it do loans?
Yes: loan and buy prices side by side. Don't do loans? Turn Loan prices off and AuIQ shows only what you pay.
What if the internet drops?
AuIQ keeps the last prices on the phone, so the counter keeps going.
Which currencies?
US dollars, euros, yen, pounds, yuan, Australian and Canadian dollars.
Your store and staff
Do my staff pay?
No. Staff join your store with its QR code or code and get your prices for free. Your plan sets how many staff devices can join.
Can staff change my prices?
No. Only the admin device changes Pricing rules, behind its PIN. Staff see your prices and can't edit them.
Will customers see my percents?
No. The customer's offer shows each piece and the total with your logo, never the spot price, your percents or your rules.
What if I lose my phone?
Your store's codes are kept in iCloud Keychain, and the admin's recovery code makes a new phone the admin. If every code is lost, Recover my store gets you back in with the Apple ID that pays for your plan.
How do I delete my store?
The store's admin can delete it in Settings → Store → Admin tools → Delete this store. It is removed from our server for every device. It does not cancel your subscription.
Plans and billing
How much is it?
From $4.99 a month for your store. Each staff device adds $2 a month: $6.99 with one, up to $24.99 with ten. Admin only and Admin + 1 staff start with 7 days free. See the plans.
Who pays?
Only the store's admin. Staff devices are covered by the admin's plan.
How do I add more staff devices?
Change your plan in Settings → Store → Subscription to cover more staff devices.
How do I cancel?
Apple manages subscriptions: on iPhone or iPad open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.
How do I restore a purchase?
On the plan screen, tap Restore Purchases.
Privacy
Is my data private?
AuIQ has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Read the privacy policy.
